Help with my cell phone! Can it be fixed?

have a Samsung Blackjack 2. I needed to charge my phone but I was in the car so I used my usb cord I had and a converter that turns the cigarette lighter in the car into a USB port. I plugged the phone in and the screen went completely white. Now it doesn't work. Any ideas?
