I just met this guy..i need help.?

At least that’s what I thought until he broke up with me…he said that he had liked another girl before he went out with me, and those feelings for her stirred back up again in the middle of our relationship. How can i begin to try to improve my relationship with my only living parent whom I seldom get along with?

hello, i am not sure if i should be posting this inquiry in either the family, friend's and relationships section or the psychology one since my issue is a bit of a overlapping problem in both those categories thus, i ask of you to please in answering do not tell me to just ask this in another category, thank you!. ok, here's my issue: i have one living parent whom i don't get along with i predict 362-363 days out of 365 days of each year, we are both very different people--my mother and I, we have no parallel hobbies, sports, interests between us and our personality's likewise are very diverse as well. I am unconventional, liberal, genuine, artistic and free spirited definitely a person who makes decisions with my 'heart over my head' for sure and she (my mom) cannot be more opposite from me than night and day are, we disagree about everything since we comprehend of things going on in the world in different lenses--we fight constantly, about the littlest to the largest matters. its really upsetting because when we do talk (which is seldom once a week sometimes once every 2 weeks) it seems as though in conversing one of us is just trying to prove the other wrong, put the other one down or end with a firm affirmation of uncompromising beliefs, opinions and viewpoints. so, as you can ume; we have a very dysfunctional relationship. we have nothing to talk about that we don't end up fighting about since we both have different opinions on just about everything. how can i make our relationship a better one with less anger and ugliness? i really don't want to believe that it is too late for us to find some common ground to talk about and occasionally smile over? please be as specific as possible if you can on subjects we could talk about, things we could do--little or big every-now-and-then for one another to show that i do and that she does still care for me despite our abundance of differences.

Why is my hamster CONSTANTLY trying to escape from her cage?

My hamster, Daisy, is spoiled. She has a big 20 gallon tank as her cage, with plenty of food and water and treats. She has a lot of toys to chew on and paper rolls to climb through, and she has her own wheel. But what puzzles me, is that she is constantly trying to escape! She literally climbs to the top of her wheel and tries to chew through the mesh. And she's actually chewed the black rimming on the cage! But whenever I hold her, she's happy and content. She snuggles into my hand and falls asleep, she's never tried to run away. But I just don't get why she tries to escape. Is there anyway to stop this behavior?

Need help deciding how to get out of the army/possibly recl...?

Hey guys I've been an 11b in the army for about 2 years now and I have 8 months left to serve until I can get honarably discharged. I plan on doing the rest of my 8 months but I need help on deciding what to do afterwards. Personally, I hate this job and I'm positive that I don't want to reenlist to stay 11b. I really want to go back to college but am afraid ill get behind on bills which I have a ton of. I have an insane car monthly car payment of $514 bc my credit is pretty bad and I also have a cell phone bill each month. A friend told me that the gi bill would pay about $1400 a month but im not sure whether to believe him or not and I'm weary of this bc I'm afraid I would have problems with getting the money on time. Getting out of the army completely is what I really want most but have decided that if I can't keep up with my bills as a civillian then ill have to try my luck at recling. if you have experience with the gi bill please let me know how its worked for you and any advice you might have for my situation. Clueless or Careless? Who cares?! I'm giftless!?

I wasn't raised petty, but I can reconcile my feelings about my husband's professed forgetfulness anymore. I feel like I'm undeserving or uninspiring, or something. Twelve years, and seldom any gifts on the normal gift holidays (Birthday, Valentine's, Anniversary, Christmas). We've discussed it several times, about how unimportant it makes me feel to not even be taken out for a walk in the park...anything, free is fine! The last present I got was a t-shirt, six sizes too large - after a year of weightloss (nearly 100lbs) that he HAD to have noticed. Today - Christmas - nothing. My fiancee has been accepted to a one year technical program on Vancouver Island in Canada and I would like nothing more than to go with him. It is very difficult to get a work visa so I've decided to go back to school there. I am looking to attend Vancouver Island University, but the only problem is they do not take student loans from the United States (where I am a citzen of). I can get help from my parents for half of the tuition, but can't seem to come up with the other half myself. What would be my options for getting a loan for the other half? I have no credit, so would I need a co-signer if I went through a private lender like a bank? 2002 nissan sentra ser specv strutering at idel?

I used a mixture of e85 and 93 octane for two weeks. I never went over an e 40% mixture. The car now developed a stutter at idle. It also stutters in first gear when I an tacking off, when I turn the AC on and seldom at 3-4 k RPM I tried fuel cleaner and it only made it worse. I changed the MAF sensor and the spark plugs. No results. does anyone think I should do a fuel system flush or any ideas?

Usually on the first appointment all they do is look at your teeth and take x-rays. They might take an impression of your teeth (beware you might choke so lift one leg up, it helps). It took my two years for them to get my braces on because of my mouth being too small, my gums being too thin and other things like that. Depending on if they think your mouth is too small they might install an appliance but that won't be until later on. The braces don't 'hurt' but they have you really sore and if only three teeth are irregular, they will still have to give you a full set of braces so all your teeth will match up with each other.

Phone Line Problems..?

I currently do not use my landline for phone service, I use it for DSL. I am getting disconnected alot, its random. I have hooked the line for the modem directly into the phone companys box outside and still it disconnects, then reconnects randomly. When it disconnects and doesn't reconnect quickly I have hooked a phone to the line and found that there is a busy signal. Have had the phone company out twice and they say the line is fine and that it had to be the modem. I have a new modem and still having the same problems. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks..

i had her for 4 years. ever since i had her shes had an eating problem. when i saw her at the pet shop she was underweight but i bought her, i felt kind of sorry for her. i had her dewormed and all that stuff. she ate smal amounts of dog food but ate more of her own poop. STILL to this day same old thing. i have switched her dog food brand over last few years, tried wet canned food, but that gives her severe diahreaa, the vet said nothing is worng with her health to cause her not to eat. she will eat ppl food but is very very picky at what she takes. she will enjoy cat food for a day or two, but gets sick of the taste and gives up on that too. i even tried just only leaving dog food out for her for a few weeks. but she would only take a few pebbles once a day, she dropped weight. im tired of this, what can i do? she hates dog food i tried everything. she wont eat it moistened with water, or dried, and canned food gives her the runs everytime. i dewormed her again, still same old problems. vet didnt do nothing either. what can i do???

On the PSAT, I had a 760 on verbal junior year and scored 800's on all the practice tests. On the SAT last May, I figured that I would easily get an 800, so I didn't really care the night before and stayed up late watching tv. I got probably 5 hours of sleep, and I'm the type of person that needs at least 9-10 hours to function during the day. The first part of the SAT I was alert, but by the second part my eyes were faling asleep and I had to really strain to read the pages. I only got a 650 on cr, and when I got the diagnostics back, the ones I got wrong were apparently because I didn't read the question carefully enough to see specificaly what it was asking for. I figured this was because I was half asleep on the verbal sections, how much sleep should I get next time?

Has anyone used CLR Metal cleaner to clean their aluminum alloy wheels? The problem was that my brake calipers froze which grinded fine metal dust from the rotors on to the wheels. Being that its winter it immediately rusted and which then stained the wheel. I know CLR household cleaner removes rust and this is their equivalent cleaner for cars but does it work? Hello, I'm starting a Dog Walking and Pet Sitting business. I have registered as an LLC. I'm working on my contracts and consent forms right now. I want to insure that I do not get sued for any lost or injured dogs. I have a high work ethic and will do everything in my power to insure that the pets are safe, but things happen out of our control sometimes and I want to make sure that I'm covered. Best ways to remember what I finished reading from my textbooks?

I'm taking United States History and Film History right now, 2 cles= 6 units total, and summer intersession is 6 weeks long. Would you recommend annotating the textbooks while reading both of those books? The US History textbook is a little more complicated than the Film History textbook, the Film HIstory textbook is a fairly short and easy read. I don't believe this has anything to do with mercury and has a lot to do with your body's tolerance for scallops. It also might have to do with how much er or other seasoning was on the scallops that gave you the symptoms that you had. When you have a food intolerance like this, you just avoid eating that food again. Maybe they were past their prime and you got a mild case of food poisoning. It would be difficult to tell what the exact reason would be for your reaction to scallops. Just avoid them in the future. Without trying clams or oysters, it also would be difficult to tell if a similar reaction will occur. It is a trial and error thing. Without hives, swelling, etc. this was not an allergic reaction, only an intolerance.

Now I've got a new computer with Vista and, presumably, a newer version of IE and if there's an error a window pops up telling me so and then all of a sudden every IE window closes and the whole program restarts. I Czeched the Dodgers' schedule for this season. Amongst their interleague opponents, so far there's one game or series vs. the other L.A. team; seems imperative to play the nearest interleague club, if not one interleague team in the same geographic �. & during a five-opponent stretch, those teams are all in the AL West & Chicago. If there was a L.A. vs. NY series b4, I musta missed it. If the MLB is gonna keep interleague games poplar, I was hoping a Yankees/Dodgers series would be more frequent. Playing the Sox doesn't sound enticing as they didn't meet in a recent World Series nor can I recall an (in)famous superstar who played on one team & than plays for the other. I mean, you'd think two teams that competed for the title around the thyme I was born would meet often once interleague play was introduced. I could hope for NY & L.A. to play in THE interleague series, nee the 2009 World Series, but perhaps I shoulda had more faith in Mine the Bird.

I am confused with my relationship with my bf sometimes?

We have known each other for over a year. I have an almost 4 old (by now) son and he is still a single guy. We went thro the honeymoon stage then he slows down, asking to let him get used to having a child in the picture. I would love to see a man coming into my life, treating my son like his own. But I should and have to give him time to adjust. At the same time, the relationship seems moving forward steadily, like after the honeymoon stage, he has spent some weekends with all us together for a few months already and recently he is inviting my son into his family functions as well (I went a few times the past year on my own). I was dancing around on wood flooring with socks on ( i know , that's stupid) and i then i accidentally fall on my right cheek. It hurt like a kick in the crotch from a kangaroo. No, no, no. It is a violation of the relationship between the athlete and the coach. If the athlete is of legal consenting age, and both the athlete AND the coach feel strong enough emtions, then the athlete should get another coach before pursuing any relationship. If they are of legal age, then the gap between ages isn't that big a deal, although age 25 is, in my opinion, the age that really constitues a decade or more gap being appropriate. If the coach is married or engaged, he/she should seek dissolution from the current relationship before pursuing another one out of respect for both parties involved. Otherwise, this is a severe violation of a mentoring position and the authority figure is taking advantage of the influence they have over their protege. I mean, let's face it...I am unsure of ANYONE that can say they didn't have a crush on a coach or teacher or someone in a position of mentorship or authority over them at some point in life. She referred her to a gynecologist, who also after an ultrasound said it was nothing but polyps, and if they were causing her pain they could remove them. When they went in to remove the polyps and after yzing they it was found to be stage 3 aggressive fast moving uterine cancer that had already moved into her ovaries, this rarely happens in someone her age..........please make them take you seriously it is your life. If my sister hadn't gone to follow up with another doctor she may not be with us today. Go to another doctor, remember you are paying them. I am not a doctor but I am an athletic trainer and have a degree in providing medical care to athletes and we are very careful when there is a head injury to watch for secondary concussion systems and bleeding, which is very serious.

Landlord lease typo... still good?

.k sorry this if this is long but Im just trying to give you the whole story. o.k I live In Minnesota and I went to resign my lease for my appartment and I got a letter saying rent was going up to 520 a month. So I called and old then get a 11 month lease set for me and id be in some time to sign it. so I went in today to sign the lease and notice for the rent rate it read 495 insted of the 520. She went over the lease with me, saying how much it would be after this date and then I signed it and so did she. I then asked for a copy. I got a call from them saying I had to come and resign cause they notice they made a mistake and rent cant go that cheap. I told them well I have a copy call who you need to call im not signing it. and they said I had to and then they called me back saying they found another mistake saying they wrote in the wrong security deposite price. but I had paid that 2 years ago so they said it was voided casue there were 2 mistake on it... so is it still valid???

I changed my video card, but when I changed back I get no monitor output?

I changed out my video card yesterday. A friend of mine wanted me to test out one that he had so I went to do so. His card is an NVidia Geforce FX5200 128MB AGP. When I put his card in the monitor would not wake up on boot. I decided to put my card back in, thinking his card was shot. I have an NVidia GeForce 3 64MB AGP. When I tried to boot my computer normally, with my card, the monitor would not wake up. I have an old Expert Color S3 Trio/Virge 4MB PCI card I tried using in case the CMOS changed back to PCI video instead of AGP. Same thing happens. Monitor doesn't wake up. That's three video card and I can't even get to a boot screen to go into setup. The motherboard is getting power, I know, cause the fan's come on. Could a video card have messed up the MoBo though? I'm stumped on the problem. Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

What is the best card stock to use for making scrapbook pages?

I am not real familiar with scrapbook terms, so bare with me. I noticed there are different weights of cardstock paper. Which one should I use for the backside of the background paper, so that the page is not flimsy? I purchased some Die Cuts with a View Card Stock from Joann's, but it just does not seem thick enough. Then I thought maybe this is how thick the card stock should be I do not want it to be as stiff as board, because I still have to keep in mind this has be able to fit into a page protector. So, let me get this straight... you did a ram and hard drive upgrade. This is and entirely new hard drive that you purchased? The only thing i can think of would be to check your ram and make sure its installed properly, and comparable. Verify that your processor will support the 64 bit processing. I'm a little unclear. Are you duel booting your operating systems? If that's the case, wipe out that drive and reinstall just your 64 bit copy. On the other hand, do you have two hard drives hooked up with an os on each one? That could cause problems too... hope this helps, good luck!

I think that it is enough punishment for them to know that you got really hurt from that accident, and you shouldn't encourage them feeling bad by not forgiving them. I can understand if you were temporarily upset, but you have to understand it was truly an accident, no one meant to hurt you. You need to forgive them, and they know that they made a mistake so chances are it won't happen again because they will be more careful. If it happens again, then it may be time to talk to them or your coach about ways you all can be more safe during practice so people don't get injured like that anymore.

well thats how games are these days. unless theyre multiplayer or not an rpg, dont expect over 10 hours of storyline. thats just how it is. but dont blame game developer, it takes some games years to make and even then they dont have a whole lot of gameplay time. i only spend my money on games like oblivion, rpgs or multiplayer games. i usually wait for games to get around $30 or less if i know they dont have a whole lot of game time. actually, i still play oblivion. its an amazing game. i have hundreds of hours logged on it and it never gets old. cheers

I started my period Wednesday and it usually last about 5 days and gets light after about 3 days. Why am I always sick?!?

I'm fourteen years old, I play basketball and I'm in track, I eat pretty healthy, and I take vitamins daily. For some reason, over the past 3 months I've been diagnosed with many different things-strep, an ear infection, a sinus infection, and the flu. I always feel bad, which is completely different from last year when I got sick only once. I'm always achy, tired, congested, and I have a lot of drainage. James Joyce's "The Dead" or F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby, which one and why?

I think I prefer "Gatsby" but only by the narrowest of margins. As for the Joyce, I'm uming you read all of the "Dubliners" story cycle and not just "The Dead" as a separate entity. All of the stories are wonderful, the writing simply beautiful, not perhaps with the inventiveness of "Ulysses" but still lyric masterworks. I think that perhaps the reason both of these works stood out for you is because of the masterful conclusions; both are celebrated. That being said, I prefer "Gatsby" somewhat more because it reaches out in so many directions and touches so many other things: Jazz Age America (it is a reasonably realistic portrayal); the mythological cycle of Isis and Osiris; Frazer's "Golden Bough"; and perhaps most importantly, Eliot's great poem "The Wasteland", whose imagery of desolation is mirrored in "Gatsby" and its "valley of ashes", etc. As a doent of an age, but also of the advent of literary modernism, it is awarded the palm, and the lyricism of its final two pages certainly holds its own against Joyce's short story "The Dead." Both were marvelous writers. I think I can make a couple more suggestions for you. Read "Hadji Murad" by Tolstoy, or perhaps his "Death of Ivan Ilyich." And if you can get one of the better translations, by all means read von Hofmannsthal's "Letter of Lord Chandos." The genius of that piece has occupied my soul for years. Excuse me for rambling so, but my enthusiasm has gotten the better of me... Happy reading, and thanks for reuring me that I've found another person with wonderful tastes. LOL Take care.

Call me crazy here but I noticed something that I wanted to point out. During the first six years of the bush administration as far as the economy goes for the most part we had low unemployment and relative prosperity. This was of course while the republicans were the majority. But now that the democracts have the majority, look at what has happened in the economy. I find it kind of interesting but I could be crazy. Now granted President Bush has not been the best president we have ever had but we have had worse. But i was just curious about this as well. The democrats wanted to bail out the banks and wall street and all of that crap despite all of the negative response that they were getting from this bailout bill of course mccain voted for it too and that makes them all dumbes. But this is just a taste of what obama will keep doing along with raising taxes and all of that. I also noticed in the VP debate that biden kept complaining about mccain's plans to cut taxes for oil companies as if it is a bad idea. Its a good idea because a lot of the reason that we pay so much because of embedded taxes that the government charges. So if there are less taxes then the company has to spend less to bring the product to us and therefore we will save money on buying it. I also noticed that biden was complaining about the healthcare tax that mccain was going to put into place but how the hell does he think that obama will pay for universal healthcare? that's right tax the hell out of the hardworking americans that earn their pay and healthcare. Is this honestly a better plan? Best answer goes to whoever looks at my points with the most common sense.
